Quick Tomato Salsa
Makes 1 pint

Inspiration

Not much time and a need for that fresh, homemade salsa flavor.

Hint

Store pesto, mayonnaise, salsas, chutneys, etc., with the least amount of air possible between the food and the lid. Mold spores live in that air.

Ingredients

1 pint store-bought salsa, mild
1 fresh, ripe tomato, chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
2 tsp. lime juice

Procedure

If the salsa is the type from a refrigerated case, strain out excess juice. Add remaining ingredients, mix and serve.
