Happy Holidays to You!

I’m excited to share with you that we recently marked our second anniversary of publishing Fresh by Northwest. We’ve got a lot of recipes and other content we want to share with you that will help you keep your garden, your house and your food fresh year round. We want you – TO COOK!

As the seasons go around we highlight the most pertinent recipes and other information in our Pages menu on the left sidebar. The Holiday Recipes page is a selection of recipes for Thanksgiving, Christmas or even holiday leftovers.

If you’re looking for ways to use the produce of the season, Heidi has got you covered on the Fall and Winter Recipes page. At the end of winter we’ll switch to our Spring and Summer Recipes page.

If soup is your thing, click here. We’ll even tell you how to make the stock.

Don’t forget to click on leftovers in the tag cloud to help you stretch your food dollars. Leftovers can drive your meal planning making it much easier to decide What to Fix For Dinner. Gain a whole new perspective on leftovers by checking out Heidi’s Real Food Series.

Oh and one last thing – make sure your pantry is stocked with the basics now before you start all that holiday cooking. Don’t try to get every item on the list, just focus on the ones you’ll need for your special holiday meals and leftovers.

Happy Holidays from Stephanie Stewart (aka freshxnw) and Heidi Rabel!
