I’m pleased to announce that we have a new contributor for Fresh By Northwest.

Heidi Rabel, a Seattle native, author and life-long cook with 40+ years of professional experience will be sharing her fresh perspectives, ideas, and recipes.  She is the author of  The What to Fix for Dinner Cookbook (1995), which not only has great recipes, but also includes wonderful menus and a list of pantry must-haves that can be combined with fresh ingredients to make it easy for you to cook dinner at home.  In her book Heidi details two of the most green ideas in cooking I’ve come across:  the Magic Stock Bag, and  recipes  that use leftovers as ingredients.

You’ll see her first post here on November 21st, 2009.  In the future, for a complete list of her posts on Fresh by Northwest you can either click on her name under the post title, or click on the category “NW Native”.  Enjoy!
